Fourth assignment

http://www.printeresting.org/2011/02/25/brass-rule-labyrinth/

The brass rule labyrinth I think is unique. I haven't seen something like that before and it's a beautiful piece of work. It must have taken a long time to construct the maze because the way it came out. It's interesting to be able to cut the pieces of brass that way within one large square without getting confused. The person who did it is very talented and is a great printmaker.

I think the gesture that he was trying to make is that to overcome mountains like getting over hurdles.

assignment 2

The image that said "Deny your true feelings at all costs." It was a guy with a mallet looks like he's playing whack a mole.

I think the piece is about not to hide your feelings. The way the guy was holding the mallet and about to hit the peop[e I think represents the battle between accepting your feelings and just lying to yourself.
The way it's communicated is by the people popping out of the holes.

1. When he created the printing press it changed the world to make it easier to copy text and store information and copy images. It made it easier to find infomation and cheaper to buy books or to get books anywhere in the western world today.

2. It influenced art making because people can see what other artists' have done. Anyone can copy their own art work with the printing press.

3. The way it relates is that it copies the images from a machine. The similarity is copying the information exactly and it uses a similar type of ink. The difference is the photocopier can make lots of copies at once and the letterpress can only be done by hand and it takes a long time to make many copies.

4.
